My fascination with wedding films started when I was around 16 and discovered American wedding films on YouTube. I was instantly fascinated by how much emotion could fit into just a few minutes of film. It wasn’t only the beautiful imagery that drew me in. It was the voices, the speeches, the vows and all those little moments in between that made you feel as though you had experienced the day yourself.
In 2017, while studying Media Management, I was asked to film a wedding for the very first time. And surprisingly, it felt natural from the very beginning. I instinctively knew which moments mattered and which shots would later help tell the story. That first wedding led to more enquiries, and what had started as a fascination eventually became my profession.
Today, I get to accompany couples as a wedding videographer on one of the most personal days of their lives and capture exactly what moved me about wedding films all those years ago: the atmosphere of the day, the people and the emotions that can’t be planned or recreated.
